1. Watch the scene below and comment on how the director conveys her   ideas. What is the idea and how is the audience meant to respond?

2. Examine the contextual influences of the film. How does it relate to the invention of human rights?

3. Choose one scene that stands out to you in the film and analyse the cinematic techniques used by the director.  How does this scene evoke an empathetic response from the audience?

4.  Comment on the character  Bonita Mabo.  How significant of a character is she in the film?  Is her role pivotal in  the perseverance  of Eddie? 

5. Examine the image below.  Knowing the context of the film  what do you think this scene is about?   Comment on the themes that may relate to this image and  what the characters' expressions imply.       

6. How does  Rachel Perkins (director of the film)  engage in the key themes present in the film. What are they and how are they explored ?  Comment on the interactions between characters.
